::so i love those high-waisted jean shorts everyone’s wearing, but i just didn’t feel like paying 60 bucks retail for them. so i went to the thrift store, picked up some lovely mom jeans (oh-so-sexy), and cut them off. i had to seam rip the inseam a little so they fit properly. i tack stitched them after rolling them up the way i wanted them, and voila. $6 jorts. =)
if you want to do the same, i recommend checking the fit-if they’re a little big in the hips you can always take in the sides a little, but if the waist doesn’t fit properly they won’t look right. but your local thrift store should abound with mom jeans that are suitable!
